New! The Middle School Academy at OLV

The OLV Middle School Academy is a unique educational enterprise that focuses solely on providing students with the academic preparation necessary for both acceptance at the area’s most selective college preparatory High Schools, as well as scholastic success at these demanding schools. This preparation takes place in an ideal learning environment where each student is given special, individualized attention. Our highly trained and dedicated faculty works diligently with each student to give them the opportunity to expand his or her academic potential to the fullest extent. The curriculum, which is both demanding and relevant to today’s high school and college curricula, places a premium on math, science, social studies, and information technology. In addition to these subjects the course of study at the OLV Middle School Academy includes: English, Literature, Religion, and Spanish. The electives offered will include: French, Economics, Journalism, and Debate.

Your child’s future academic success demands the right preparation today. At the OLV Middle School Academy that preparation is our sole mission.  At OLV we are proud of our reputation of academic excellence and the caring, nurturing, safe environment in which our children are educated. At the OLV Middle School Academy, this academic excellence and value-based education have achieved the highest level of scholastic attainment.

Curriculum

The OLV curriculum is designed to promote the growth of the whole person and is set by the Worcester Diocesan School Department.  Helping students to think creatively, reason logically, and act responsibly is the best assurance that they will be successful in the future.

The academic curriculum at OLV is rigorous and fully prepares students for further study at the area's demanding high schools.  OLV graduates enjoy excellent placement in superior high schools including Mount Saint Charles, St. John's, Notre Dame Academy, Holy Name, St. Peter-Marian, Worcester Academy and the surrounding public high schools.

100% of the OLV student body is instructed in Computers, Physical Education, Art and Music. Our computer lab is state-of-the-art and students receive instruction in the latest computer applications. Students are supervised and all computers are appropriately filtered.

In addition to daily religious study, our students particpate in a weekly Values program.  Student in grades 6-8 compete in the Diocesan Science Fair held at Assumption College.

    Student HandBook
