Welcome to the Tiny Wings Preschool Home Page!

This page will be used to provide you with information about our classroom.

DUE TO A NUMBER OF FOOD ALLERGIES, OUR CLASSROOM IS NOW NUT FREE.  THANK YOU ALL FOR COOPERATING AND KEEPING OUR STUDENTS SAFE!

During this month we will continue to work on letters of the alphabet, learning new ones, matching upper and lower case, as well as initial sounds.  In math we will be playing with patterns, both visual and auditory.  Our next unit in the OWL curriculum focuses on the jungle, so be watching for some wild craft projects to be coming home!  We will also be exploring what animals need to survive and comparing different climates.

This week we have been learning about shadows and our classroom has made a prediction that the groundhog will see his shadow, we'll find out if we were right!!

We will be having Valentine parties on Monday, February 13th and Tuesday, February 14th.  More information will be sent home shortly.  Your children will be introduced to George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, learning about leadership and honesty.

In Religion we will learn who St. Valentine was and why we celebrate this special day, we will also be singing, Jesus Love Me.

*****February brings some very cold weather, so it is important that you send your child to school each day with a warm jacket, hat, waterproof mittens, and if snow is on the ground, boots and snowpants.   *******

Also, please save any large round containers with lids (ex. coffee cans, metal or plastic) we'll be using these in March.

Reminders!!

1. Mat covers will be sent home for the week of vacation, please return them on your child's first day back to school.

2. Be sure your child has a weather appropriate change of clothes at school.

3. Please provide a drink for both snack and lunch.

Thank You!!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Read, Mrs. Gatto and Mrs. Houle and Mrs. Hourihan!!
