A few housekeeping notes...

*Please review the student handbook and dress code with your child.  Students should be aware of the policy regarding jewelry (only 1 bracelet is permitted), hair styles (in particular, hair coloring), and uniform guidelines.

*Absences are unavoidable.  Missed work will be compiled for your child by the end of the day when he or she is absent.  For students who do not have siblings in the school and have not made arrangements with classmates to bring their work home, the work is available for parents to pick up.

*As stated in the Student Handbook, students have one day per day of absence following their return to complete missed assignments.  For example, if a student is absent for three days, he has three days folling his return to make up missed work.  After the allotted time, assignments are considered late.

Student Council

*Student Council meetings will be held on Thursdays.  Please see the school calendar for specific dates.  The meeting will be adjourned at 3:15 pm.  Students should arrange a ride home in advance or may go to after school care at the conclusion of the meeting.

A FEW NOTES ABOUT EXTRA HELP FOR MATH

Students may request help before school on Tuesdays from 7:45-8:15.   Students are expected to arrive at extra help with specific questions from homework assignments or classwork.  Other arrangements can be made as needed, schedules permitting.

The Middle School Academy @ OLV is excited to continue to have 1:1 computer access for all seventh and eighth grade students throughout the school day!  We are excited about the educational opportunities this provides for our students, as well as the reduction in paper use the technology will allow for!  Coming soon......iPads!
